18 Tigers Represent Pacific as Academic All-Big West Conference Athlete During the Winter
March 29, 2007 Anthony Esparza (Bakersfield, Calif.), Benjamin Pemberton (Hawkins, Texas) and Michael White (Capitola, Calif.) represented the Pacific men's basketball team. The Tigers landed five members of the women's swim team on the Academic All-Conference Team. Junior Ziada Jardine (Capetown, South Africa), sophomore Jennifer Lewis (Hesperia, Calif.) senior Kellyn Loehr (Grass Valley, Calif.), senior Allison Rowe (Concord, Calif.) and sophomore April Woo (Honolulu, Hawaii) each nabbed the academic honor. Pacific's men's swimming team led the Tigers and the Big West Conference as 10 Tigers made the Academic All-Conference Team. Junior Justin Canty (El Cajon, Calif.), sophomore Christopher Chapman (Redmond, Wash.), senior Casey Lowdermilk (Parker, Colo.), junior Matthew Lundy (Lafayette, Colo.), senior Clint McLaughlin (El Cajon, Calif.) junior Craig Norman (King City, Calif.), sophomore David Platow (Westport, Conn.), junior Stephen Quinn (Livermore, Calif.), sophomore Seth Urban (Centennial, Calif.) and junior Krzysztof Zoldak (Oswiecim, Poland) all earned the academic honor. To be eligible to receive Big West Academic All-Conference recognition, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, complete one full academic year at the member institution prior to the season for which the award is being received (at least a sophomore academically), and compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests. |
