Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific Athletic Department named Corina Clark as the new Head Coach for the Tiger Dancers and Cheer team.

Corina comes to Pacific with an extensive background in both dance and cheer. Corina recently graduated from Sacramento State with a Degree in Theater and Performing Arts. While at Sac State, Corina was a member of the Extreme Dance Team where she choreographed and participated in the teams' first place finish at the USA Collegiate Nationals in Las Vegas in 2005. In addition, Corina was also a member of the Sacramento State Cheerleading team where she also earned a first place finish at Nationals.

"I am very excited to participate in building the spirit program at Pacific. Jenise has done a wonderful job building the dance program, and I look forward to continuing in the same direction for both cheer and dance," said Corina.

Corina is the owner and director of the Sacramento Royals All Star Cheerleading and Royal Dance Company and was a member Stockton Lightning Shockwave team. Corina also serves as competition judge and camp instructor for JAMZ cheer and dance company.

"We are extremely excited about having Corina join our staff - she has a very diverse background as both a chorographer and a performer and she is going to be a great addition to our program," said Director of Athletic Marketing Georgia Kovich-Lee.

Corina replaces Jenise Fitzpatrick who led the Tiger Dancers for three seasons and resigned from the position in order to spend more time with her family. Jenise and her husband Ryan are expecting their second child in October.

Members of the Tiger Dance team will be attending the USA College/Pro Camp later on this month in Anaheim. The Pacific cheer team will be holding open auditions for this year's team in the fall.
