Dear Tiger Fan,

On behalf of our coaches, student athletes and the Pacific Tigers Athletics Association (PTAA) Board of Directors, I want to say thank you for your participation in the 2008 PTAA Orange & Black Ball held at the Alex G. Spanos Center on the evening of Saturday, August 23.

As a fundraiser for Pacific Athletics, this year's event raised over $105,000 with 723 Pacific Fans in attendance, both record numbers for this event. Over a nine-year period, the Orange & Black Ball has raised approximately $635,000 that helps to provide support for student athlete scholarships and academic achievement programs which assist with the recruitment of future Tigers.

Your generosity truly made this event possible. All of us at Pacific Athletics are extremely grateful for your involvement either as a contributor, purchaser or simply that you joined us for dinner. A very special note of appreciation goes to our Orange & Black Ball Honorary Chairpersons and loyal Tiger Fans, Dean & Kathy Janssen.

Segale Travel and Carnival Cruise Lines, once again, sponsored this year's event. Together, they created a fabulous "Grand Prize" raffle package that included round trip travel for two and an Owner's Suite Carnival Imagination five-day Caribbean Cruise plus $1,000 spending money. Plans are already in place to make things even better as we celebrate our tenth anniversary next year. Be sure to "Save the Date" for the 2009 Orange & Black Ball, which will be held on Saturday, August 22.
