Stockton, Calif. - University of the Pacific Director of Athletics Lynn King has announced the hiring of Dan McCabe as Ticket Operations Manager.

Prior to joining Pacific, McCabe served as the Director of Ticket Operations with the San Jose SaberCats for four years. He was with the club for seven years, beginning his career in San Jose in 2001. He led seasonal marketing and sales for the SaberCats, while and managing a full-time staff of sales and account executives. In addition to managerial duties, Dan also was responsible for local marketing, where he sought out sponsorships from within the community.

Before his tenure with the Saber Cats, McCabe spent one season with Lake Elsinore Storm, where he was the assistant director of media relations, coordinating media requests among local outlets and Storm staff and athletes. His other duties included compiling stats packets for media and broadcast game notes.

McCabe majored in sports management at San Jose State University after transferring from Gavilan College. During his senior year at San Jose State, he spent one season as an intern in the media relations department with the San Jose Sharks, researching for Sharks magazine and performing various media requests.
