JUNIOR (2004)

Ryan appeared in 19 games last season, including nine starts. He finished the season with a .216 batting average and scored two runs in 2004. In 11 conference games, Ryan hit .261. Defensively, Amos gunned down three of 11 opposing base runners. Ryan was 1-for-3 in the Tigers' 6-1 loss to #9 UC Irvine on Apr. 25th. Amos had his best series of the season against NCAA champion, Cal State Fullerton, going 3-for-6 in his three games. Ryan posted a career-high two hits in the Tigers' 13-5 loss to the Titans on Apr. 10th. Amos earned his first start at Pacific on Mar. 20th against Layafette College as the Tigers defeated the Leopards 12-7. Two days earlier, Amos collected his first hit with Pacific, a single in his only at-bat Tigers' 4-2 win over Lafayette on Mar. 18th.

JUNIOR COLLEGE

Amos transferred to Pacific from North Eastern Oklahoma A&M in Miami, Okla. in 2003. In his final season as a Norseman, Ryan led Northeastern Oklahoma A&M to a 35-21 record and a third place finish in the Bi-State Regional Athletic Conference. In two seasons with the Norsemen, Amos posted a combined average of .275 and collected five home runs.

HIGH SCHOOL

Ryan graduated from Mountlake Terrance High School in Mountlake Terrance, Wash. in 2001. As a Hawk, Amos hit .375 in his senior season, leading Mountlake Terrance to the state playoffs. The Hawks finished the 2001 season with a 17-3 record. Defensively, Amos did not allow a passed ball in his last two seasons. Following the 2001 season, Ryan was named to the All-Westco First Team. He earned All-Westco honorable mention as a junior. Ryan also earned a letter as a cross country runner at Mountlake Terrance HS.

PERSONAL

Ryan Amos was born on October 25, 1982 and is the son of John and Karen Amos. In his second year with Pacific, Ryan is majoring in sport sciences.
