2008 (Sophomore):

After starting off his first game of the year with a 4-3 win over Houston on Feb. 23, Hunter earned a starting role in three of his next four games. Against the Cougars, he tossed four innings of scoreless relief with one strikeout and surrendered only two hits. His second victory of the season was a five inning one-hitter vs. Cal State Northridge on May 16, when the Tigers clobbered the ball and gave Carnevale tremendous run support to win a game in which he did not allow any earned runs, 17-5. Opposing batters hit .287 against Hunter, accounting for the second lowest average against for Pacific pitchers. He finished the season with a 2-4 record.

2007 (Freshman):

Hunter came on in relief for the Tigers in the first game of the 2007 season, but quickly cemented his role in the starting rotation. Carnevale made 18 appearances during his freshman campaign, including 14 starts. Hunter tossed 76.2 innings, compiling a 2-5 record and a 5.99 ERA. Hunter's first start showed the promise that Carnevale has, holding Cal State Northridge scoreless through six innings to pick up his first collegiate victory in Pacific's 12-0 win over the Matadors on Feb. 4. Two starts later, Hunter limited the Nevada Wolf Pack to one run on seven hits in 6.2 innings for his second victory. Carnevale finished the season with 38 strikeouts and 31 walks in 76.2 innings.

High School:

Hunter graduated from Granite Bay High School in Granite Bay, Calif. in 2006. Carnevale was a two-year letterwinner in baseball for the Grizzlies and also earned a varsity letter in soccer. During his senior season, Hunter finished with a 7-3 record, a 1.70 ERA and 65 strikeouts in 50 innings. Following the 2006 season, Hunter was named to the All-Metropolitian League First Team. As a junior, Carnevale served as the Grizzlies closer, recording eight saves, 22 K's and a perfect 0.00 ERA in 12.2 innings.
