2006 (Freshman): Erik saw action in six contests in his first season with the Tigers. Hamren collected his first hit as a Tiger on Feb. 10 in the Tigers' 6-3 win over BYU. High School: Hamren graduated from Tesoro High School in Los Flores, Calif. in 2005. As a Titan, Erik earned three letters in both baseball and football. As a senior, Hamren finished the season with a .452 batting average and nailed three home runs. Following the 2005 season, he was named the Pacific Coast League Co-MVP with Tesoro HS teammate Nick Nelson. Hamren was a 2004 Southern Cal Cup II - Orange County All Star team member. Hamren also earned a spot on the North Orange Country Classic All-Tournament Team in 2003. Personal: Erik Hamren is the son of Jon and Robin Hamren. He has two siblings, C.J. (22) and Katie (15). In his third year at Pacific, Erik is a sports medicine major and hopes to become a physical therapist. |
