Junior College: Hill spent the last two seasons on the diamond for Diablo Valley College. Denis hit .271 during his sophomore season, knocking out 36 hits in 133 at-bats. During his second season at Diablo Valley, Hill was a teammate of current Tiger, Greg Murray. As a freshman, Hill finished with a .252 average. Denis scored 24 runs and delivered 18 RBI in 37 games. Saint Mary's: Hill spent two years at Saint Mary's College in 2003 and 2004. Shoulder injuries prevented Hill from playing in either season and he earned two medical redshirts. High School: Hill graduated from Campolindo High School in Moraga, Calif. in 2002. A three-year letterwinner for the Cougars, Denis finished his senior season with a .342 batting average, including two home runs, 16 RBI, 24 runs and 11 stolen bases. Following his senior season, Hill was named to the All-Diablo Foothill Athletic League (DFAL) First Team. As a junior, Hill was a DFAL Honorable Mention selection and was named the team's Most Inspirational Player. In addition, Denis was named team captain as he led Campolindo to a DFAL and North Coast Section Championship. Personal: Denis Hill is the son of David and Karen Hill. He has one sibling, Bridget (21). In his second year at Pacific, Denis is an English and political science major. |
