JUNIOR (2004) Reynolds appeared in 18 games as a junior, including five starts. He finished 2004 with a 9.82 ERA, but had a much better season than his ERA would indicate. Reynolds gave Pacific someone who could serve as a spot starter and in long relief. Gregg's best outing of the season came at Nevada on March 23rd as he pitched 5.1 innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits with a career-high nine Ks in a no-decision as Pacific lost 12-11 in 11 innings. Gregg earned his first win of the season on March 6th in Pacific's 13 inning, 3-2 win over USF, tossing one inning of shutout relief. The junior righty picked up his first save of the season, pitching 1.1 innings of shutout ball, striking out three of the seven batters he faced as Pacific won 2-0 over Saint Mary's on Feb. 29th. SOPHOMORE (2003) Gregg appeared in six games for the Tigers in 2003, posting an 11.05 ERA. Reynold's best outing of the year came in the Tigers' 9-7 victory over Nevada on Friday, Jan. 31st as Gregg tossed 2.2 innings of scoreless relief. He recorded four strikeouts and did not allow a hit in the effort as Reynolds got the Tigers through the sixth, seventh and eighth innings with the lead intact. FRESHMAN (2002) Reynolds made two appearances for Pacific in 2002, allowing just one run on two hits in two innings. FRESHMAN (2001) Gregg redshirted his first season with the Tigers. HIGH SCHOOL Gregg graduated from Arcata High School in Arcata, Calif. in 2000. As an Arcata Tiger, he was named the MVP of the Humboldt Del Norte (HDN) League in his senior season. Gregg went 8-5 with 133 strikeouts and a 3.20 ERA in 77 innings to help lead Arcata to a first place finish in the HDN League in 2000. As a junior, Reynolds was named to the All-HDN Team, while he received HDN honorable mention following his sophomore campaign. In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Reynolds more than held his own in the classroom, earning a spot on the honor roll each year. PERSONAL Gregory Reynolds was born on January 7, 1982 and is the son of Stan and Anita Reynolds. In his fifth year at Pacific, Gregg is majoring in business finance and plans to become a stockbroker following graduation. |
