2007 (Freshman):

Mike kicked off his collegiate career in high gear, delivering nine RBI in his first four contests. Walker was 1-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored in the Tigers' season opening 11-7 loss to Cal State Northridge on Feb. 2. Two days later, Walker was 3-for-6 with three RBI in the Tigers' 12-0 win over Cal State Northridge. Walker collected his first career triple in the contest. The following game, however, is where Mike made his biggest splash. Walker posted a team-high five RBI in Pacific's 16-10 win over Sacramento State on Feb. 6. Walker's big blow came in the Tigers' seven-run eighth inning as he blasted a three-run home run over the center field wall. After cooling off through the middle of the season, Walker's bat started to heat up against No. 13 UC Irvine. In three games against the Anteaters, Mike was 6-for-12 with five RBI and three runs scored. Walker finished the season with a .246 batting average, with 31 hits, six doubles and 24 RBI in 48 games.

High School:

Walker graduated from Marysville High School in Marysville, Cailf. in 2006. A three-time letterwinner in baseball, Mike also grabbed varsity letters in football and basketball. During his senior season, Walker hit an impressive .512 wth four home runs and 20 RBI in 13 games. Following both his junior and senior seasons, Walker earned All-Golden Empire League honors and was named the Indians MVP in 2006.

Personal:

Michael Walker is the son of Dan and Anne Walker. He has two siblings, Nikki (20) and Davis (14). In his second year at Pacific, Mike is a communication major.
