2006 (Freshman):

Alex appeared in 30 games, including 26 starts in his freshman campaign. Zanini finished with a .256 batting average, including five doubles, two triples and a very unconventional home run. Zanini's round-tripper was an inside-the-park grand slam in the Tigers' 11-9 win over Louisiana Tech on Mar. 11. On the season, Zanini finished with 13 RBI.

High School:

Zanini graduated from St. Mary's High School in Stockton, Calif. in 2005, where he played with current Tiger teammate Anthony Carruesco. During his senior season, Zanini finished with a .425 average and swiped 21 bases. Alex had 37 hits in 31 games during 2005, collecting 17 RBI. His on-base percentage was .570 and his slugging percentage was .655. Following his senior season, Alex was named to the All-San Joaquin Athletic Association Team as well as the All-Area Team.

Personal:

Alex Zanini is the son of Alex and Cheryl Zanini. He has one brother, Zack (17). In his third year at Pacific, Alex is a communication major.
