Stockton, Calif. - Tiger outfielder Nick Longmire (San Diego, Calif.) has earned 2008 Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-America honors, it was announced by Collegiate Baseball.

Nick tied for the top spot on the team in batting average with a .323 mark, and was second on the team with 64 hits. He hit .333 in Big West games, and did not have an error in 54 Big West chances. He had 18 multi-hit games, including two four-hit games. Nick tied for the longest hitting streak on the team, with an 11-game stretch.

Longmire also earned 2008 All-Big West Conference Honorable Mention honors.
