Pacific Baseball To Welcome Back Program Graduates on Alumni Day

Oct. 8, 2008

Stockton, Calif. - As a part of parents and family weekend, the Pacific baseball team's annual alumni day is slated for Oct. 18, 2008.

Nearly 30 former players have already agreed to join in on this year's festivities and will warm up with batting practice at 11 a.m. Immediately following practice swings, a three-inning Old Timers' game will start at noon, featuring Pacific graduates from the 1940s, 50s and beyond.

Once the first pitch is tossed in the Old Timers' game, flames will be going as a lunch BBQ will go throughout the day. As soon as the Old Timers' game wraps up, recent alumni will take the field against the 2008-09 squad.

After both games are finished, the baseball staff will be offering tours of the new campus facilities, including the University Center.

Pacific baseball has a proud tradition built by our alumni and wants to encourage you to stay connected with our program and help build your success into a national powerhouse. Thank you for all that you do for the program and we look forward to seeing you on the 18th!

Schedule of events are as follows:
Food will be served throughout the day
11 a.m.: Batting Practice
12 p.m.: Old Timers' Game
Post Game: Recent alumni vs. current Pacific squad

For more information about the Alumni Reunion and if former players would like to RSVP, contact Barb Paris at bparis@pacific.edu or (209) 946-2389.
