2006-07 (Sophomore): Steffan was second on the team with 9.7 points per game last year, leading the Tigers with 109 assists ... Johnson started the first 16 of his 30 games for the Tigers ... High School: Steffan attended Kent-Meridian High School in Kent, Wash., where he lettered in basketball for the Royals ... He averaged 20.0 points and 6.0 assists a game as a senior ... In 2004-05, Steffan led his team to an 18-6 record, and was named South Puget Sound League MVP ... Coach Thomason on Johnson: "Steffan, we all know, has a lot of ability. He had moments of brilliance last year. His consistency has to improve but also the decision making in the game of basketball. His attitude is great and he's working hard to develop a really good sense of being a point guard. He can play at either the point guard or shooting guard spots, and he's battling for a starting spot."
