Ron Verlin returns for his 14th season with the Pacific basketball program in 2007-08 as Associate Head Coach.

A 1990 graduate of Sacramento State, Verlin is responsible for heading Pacific's academic efforts, as well as all aspects of scheduling. He works with the defense and helps develop Pacific's post players in addition to other on-court assistant coaching duties. He has coaching experience at the high school, junior college and NCAA Division I levels.

Verlin came to Pacific from Columbia College where he spent the 1993-94 season as an assistant coach, assistant athletic director and head golf coach. He spent the previous two seasons at the University of Nevada as an assistant coach. He also spent two years at Sierra College in Rocklin as an assistant coach, as well as stints as head coach at Christian Brothers High School in Sacramento and Del Oro High School in Loomis.

He has also been involved in several summer camps throughout his career. From 1988 to '92, Verlin was the coach of Cy's Guys basketball club from Sacramento, which finished each year in the top five at the Basketball Congress Invitational.

Verlin is a member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Ron's twin brother, Don, is an assistant coach at Utah State. He and his wife, Barbie, live in Stockton with their sons Trenton (13) and Nathan (11) and daughter Kelsie (9).
