Anthony Brown Earns Big West Player of the Week Honors

Irvine, Calif. - University of the Pacific junior forward Anthony Brown (Sacramento, Calif.) was named Big West Conference Player of the Week on Monday, for his performances last week against Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine.

Anthony led the Tigers to a home sweep last week, averaging a double-double with 16.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. Against Cal State Fullerton he picked up his fifth double-double with a season highs of 20 points 14 rebounds. He led the team in rebounding in both games, while shooting 61.1% from the field. In the win over UC Irvine, his free throw with :21 left, gave the Tigers a four-point lead in the game to help ensure the victory. He had 12 points and eight boards against the Anteaters.

It is the second weekly honor of Brown's career and the third time a Tiger has earned the award this season.

The Tigers are in action this week with a road game at UC Santa Barbara on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 7:00 p.m.
