DeAngelo Garrett to Leave Pacific After Graduation
April 24, 2008
Stockton, Calif. - Pacific men's basketball Head Coach Bob Thomason has announced that junior forward DeAngelo Garrett (Edmond, Okla.) is transferring to the University of Central Oklahoma, and will play basketball there in his final year of eligibility. He will graduate from Pacific this May with a degree in Communication.
"We wish DeAngelo the best," said Thomason. "He has a chance to play and contribute to their team, and DeAngelo still has a degree from Pacific. It's a win-win situation for everyone."
Garrett played in six games for the Tigers in 2007-08, scoring six points and grabbing four rebounds. DeAngelo scored a career-high four points against UC Davis on Feb. 28 in the Spanos Center.
With the open scholarship, junior guard James Doran (Cameron Park, Calif.) will be on scholarship in 2008-09 after spending the 2007-08 season as a walk-on.
