Tigers Basketball to Host Free Community Day This Sunday
Oct. 29, 2007
Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific men's and women's basketball teams will host a Community Day on Sunday, Nov. 4, where all fans are invited to attend the doubleheader that day free. A ticket is required for attendance, and can be picked up at several Stockton merchants, including customer service counters at Food 4 Less, the customer service center at the Downtown terminal for San Joaquin Transit, the Pacific Box Office and Wilson Way Tires on Wilson Way.
The Pacific women's basketball team takes on Humboldt State at 2:00 p.m., while the men's team takes on Alaska-Anchorage at 4:30 p.m.
Heading into her second season at the helm of the Pacific women's basketball program, head coach Lynne Roberts expects big things out of her team in 2007-08 with the return of four of her top five scorers from last season. The return of eight core players from a year ago will be bolstered by the addition of seven new players into the program for the upcoming season.
Pacific's men's basketball team is led by Head Coach Bob Thomason, entering his 20th season with the Tigers. Led by returning All-Big West selection Anthony Brown, the Tigers return five letterwinners from last year's team. The team adds nine newcomers to the roster, including three 2006-07 redshirts.
