Stockton, Calif. - An additional 750 tickets in the $5 range are being made available for Pacific's men's basketball game against California on Dec. 9. With close to 7,500 seats sold for the event, it will be the largest home crowd to ever watch the Tigers play.

"The response to this game has been good," said Lynn King, athletic director at Pacific. "We want everyone to have a chance to see it, so we are releasing an additional 750 seats."

It is the Tigers' first-ever event at the Stockton Arena, as the Tigers will play their first regular season home game in downtown Stockton since the 1980-81 season. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. The game will also mark the first time an NCAA Division I basketball game will be played at the Stockton Arena.

To mark the occasion, the Tigers will wear jerseys that say "Stockton" instead of "Pacific" on them. The jerseys will be auctioned off during the game with a portion of the proceeds going to local charities.

"We are very pleased to bring this premier collegiate basketball game to the Stockton Arena," said King. "Besides the positives for the Stockton community, this game features two outstanding teams and some superior individual student-athletes. We ask the Northern California Region to support this game and to pack the Arena."

To make the event more accessible to the community, ticket prices start at just $5 each in the upper end court. Lower courtside seats are only $18, upper courtside seats are $13 ($10 for groups of 10 or more) and Comcast Club seats are $25 each. Dameron Medical Center of Stockton is the presenting sponsor of the game.

Tickets for the public are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the Stockton Arena Box Office at 209-373-1700 or online at StocktonTickets.com.

The San Joaquin RTD will be providing free Trolley and Metro Express services to and from the University of the Pacific and the Stockton Arena this Wednesday night for the Stockton Showcase. The service will start at 5:35 p.m. in front of Burns Tower.

There will also be a stop on the Miracle Mile on the corner of Pacific and Tuxedo for all fans attending the pregame party at the Valley Brew. Services will also be available following the game back to the university.
