Summer 2007 Hohn is wasting no time this summer in competing in preperation for his upcoming senior season. He already has a runner-up finish under his belt as he shot a 67-72=139 at the Modesto City Championship at Creekside and Dryden on June 9-10. A.J. played in the Sacramento City Championship on June 23-24. In July he took part in the Lodi Amatuer on the 15-16; posting a 73-72. He shot a 69-71 at the Stockton City Championship, good for fifth place. 2006-2007 Hohn stepped up big for the Tigers coming down the stretch of his junior season at Pacific. He shot a one-over par at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate, helping the Tigers to a seventh place finish and followed that up with a 15th place individual finish at the Big West Championship. 2005-2006 Hohn made an impact in his first semester as a Tiger, playing in nine rounds, posting a season-low 71 at the Northwest Collegiate. He finished the fall season with a 76.8 stroke average and shot seven of nine rounds in the 70s. A.J. shot an even par second round at the Big West Championship, putting his way towards 23rd place at the event. Hohn played his first spring tournament on Feb. 27, shooting a 156 at the Anteater; he followed that up with a 234 at the Braveheart Classic. His 54-hole score was second for the Tigers. A.J. made noise at the Cowboy Classic as well, his final 71-72 put him in second for Pacific. UT Pan American A.J. won the Lodi Amateur at Lockford Springs during the summer of 2005, shooting a (70-72) in the 36-hole format. Hohn transferred from University of Texas Pan American following his freshman year. As a member of the Bronc's he earned honorable mention All-Independent conference while leading the UTPA golf team in scoring average (76.0). His best finish came at the Purdue Boilermaker Invitational, finishing tied for ninth (71-77-71). Lodi High A.J. was a four-year letterwinner at Lodi High where he played in every tournament during his high school career. He was the 2002 San Joaquin Athletic Association overall individual champion as well as leading the Flames to league championships in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. Personal Andrew Joseph Hohn is the son of Chuck and Sandy Hohn. He has a younger brother Joey (15) who plays football and baseball at Tokay High. A.J. is currently majoring in business at Pacific. |
