
Freshmen Lead Pacific Golf in Rhode Island

Newport, Rhode Island - The Tigers claimed seventh place at the Adam's Cup, Wednesday, September 26th in Rhode Island. Behind the play of freshman T.J. Bordeaux and Alex Grieb the Pacific Golf team shot a 36-hole score of 304-302-303=909 at Newport National Golf Course. Pacific opened with a first day 304 and 302 and sat just a few strokes out of third place going into the final round. Bordeaux and Grieb, playing in their first collegiate event, battled throughout the tournament, placing 15th and 19th respectively. Bordeaux opened with a first round 77 and followed up with two rounds of 74 while Grieb shot an opening 74 and tacked on a 78 and 74. Senior's Chris Rosenau and A.J. Hohn both tied for 28th, both shooting +13 for the tournament. Hohn shot the lowest round for the Tigers during the tournament, a second round 73.
