Bordeaux's Eighth Place Leads Pacific at Rain Cancelled Husky Invitational
Oct. 2, 2007
Bremerton, Washington - With the cancellation of the final round of the Husky Invitational the Tigers officially took seventh place for the 36-hole tournament. Steady rain throughout the morning forced tournament officials to cancel the event at Gold Mountain Golf Club. Freshman T.J. Bordeaux finished in 8th place individually, shooting back-to-back rounds of 73 in his home state of Washington. His second top-20 finish in as many weeks propelled the Tigers to a 299-300 showing at the 7,061-yard course. "It's a little disappointing to have any tournament come to a premature end," said head coach Brandon Goethals. "We were off to a good start this morning and while there was a lot of golf left to play this afternoon it would have been great to see the guys battle up the leaderboard." Senior Chris Rosenau and A.J. Hohn finished a stroke apart at 151 and 152, respectively. Junior Charlie Van Sicklen added a 75-79 and Alex Grieb recorded an 80-75. The Tigers take a week off for the Tiger Hunt on October 8th but are back on the road the following week in Palm Springs for the Prestige at PGA West. 7 Pacific +23 F 299 300 599 T8 T.J.
