Rancho Santa Margarita, California - The Big West Conference Championship is underway at Tijeras Creek Golf Club this morning in Rancho Santa Margarita. The Tigers opened up the conference tournament at 8:07 am and will play 36-holes today at the par 72 course.

The Tigers are composed of freshman TJ Bordeaux, freshman Alex Johnson, junior Charlie Van Sicklen and senior AJ Hohn and Chris Rosenau. They're looking for Pacific's first Big West win since 1997 when the Tigers took the championship at Dayton Valley Country Club.

The winner of the Big West Championship recieves an automatic bid into the 2008 NCAA Regionals. The Tigers battle a conference of Cal Poly, Cal State Northridge, UC Davis, UC Irvine, Long Beach State, UC Santa Barbara and Riverside.
