Stockton, California - Pacific senior Charlie Van Sicklen fired a final round 63 at Swenson Golf Course to win the Stockton City on Sunday, August 3rd. Van Sicklen combined an opening round 74 at Van Buskirk on Saturday to shoot a 137 at the annual event.

"The first round I wasn't comfortable," said Charlie. "I just wanted to go out there positive today. I didn't think about winning - just kept it positive and I got hot and birdied eight out of nine holes."

"That is some stellar golf from Charlie," said head coach Brandon Goethals. "To finish any tournament with a 63 is outstanding."

Charlie's win comes on the heels of two of his teammates, Alex Grieb and TJ Bordeaux earning qualifier spots to play in the US Amateur in two weeks at Pinehurst. The Tigers return Van Sicklen for his final year this coming fall.
