Stockton, California - The Pacific Golf team announced the signing of Alex Edfort (Somerset, New Jersey) Wednesday, November 12th during the early signing period. Edfort, the first signee of head coach Brandon Goethals' 2009-10 class is a national champion diver as well as one of the nations' top junior golfers.

Edfort, who attends Franklin Township High School, won the AJGA Lessing's Classic in July and won the Skyland Conference Title in May by four strokes. He also finished fourth last year in the IJGT Harbour Town Golf Links and fifth at the USGA Boys Junior Amateur Qualifier. Edfort got his first taste of Stockton and the University of the Pacific this past August as he competed in the AJGA Stockton Sports Commission Junior Classic at the Reserve at Spanos Park; posting round of 74-70-78.

"We are really excited that Alex has joined the Pacific Golf family and I can't wait to get him on campus," said coach Goethals. "I know this young man will work to help us get to the next level."
