At the Big West Championships, he set a personal best in the 100 Fly with a time of 50.71 and continued to improve his season times in the 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay - a race in which the Tigers took third place overall - 50 Free (21.54) and 200 Fly (1:54.31).

2006-07 (Sophomore):

Swimming two strokes for the Tigers, BJ posted his best times of the season in both the 50 Free and the 200 Fly at the Big West Championships, with times of 21.56 and 1:52.39, respectively. Damazo swam in several events for the Tigers, adding strength and depth to the team.

2005-06 (Freshman):

As a freshman, BJ earned the team's most improved award after vast development throughout the season. Damazo's strides showed at the Big West Championships when he recorded his season-best times in the 100 Fly (52.08) and the 200 Fly (1:54.78). He also competed in the 50 Free (22.03) and in the 100 Free (49.64) throughout the season.

High School:

BJ attended Paradise Adventist Academy in Paradise, Calif., where he lettered in swimming and flag football. He earned All-Section honors in swimming and was named team MVP for the Cougars in 2004 after finishes in the top 10 with a time of 22.43 in the 50 Free and 53.97 in the 100 Fly. From 2003 to 2005, BJ was a section qualifier in the Northern Section CIF where he went on to become a far western finalist.
