2006-07 (Junior): Dunn claimed individual championships in the 100 and 200 Breast at the Big West Championships on Feb. 23 with a time of 1:59.44 in the 200 Breast and 54.35 in the 100 Breast. David posted season and team best times in four events, the 50 Free (20.91), 100 Free (46.00), 100 Breast (54.35) and 200 Breast (1:59.34). Dunn bested his own record in the 100 Breast this season and was just .13 second off the Pacific record for the 200 Breast. 2005-06 (Sophomore): As a sophomore, Dunn recorded the team's fastest times of the season in the 50 Free (21.02), 100 Free (46.64), 100 Breast (55.04) and the 200 Breast (1:59.29). At the Big West Championships he placed first in the 200 Breast, second in the 100 Breast, and sixth in the 50 Free. 2004-05 (Freshman): Dunn had a strong freshman campaign, recording a pair of second place finishes in the 100 Breast (56.02) and 200 Breast (2:01.08) at the Big West Championships. High School: David attended Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, Calif. He was part of the Acorns' swimming and water polo teams. Dunn earned All-American status in swimming. Personal: David Dunn was born in San Jose, Calif., and is the son of Chuck and Mary Dunn. He has two siblings, Theresa (26) and Thomas (24). David is majoring in business in his fourth year at Pacific. |
