2007-08 (Junior):

Swimming his first year at the Division I level, Dupere demonstrated great stamina and patience as one of the Tigers' distance swimmers. He only competed with one stroke, but set season highs during the Big West Championships in February in both the 500 Free (4:42.27) and the 1650 Free (16:19.76). As a returning senior, his experience and strength in long distances will be an asset to the Tigers during the 2008-09 season.

Previous School (Allan Hancock College):

Jason attended Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, Calif. after graduating from high school. In 2006, he was one of nine athletes from Hancock College to compete in the USA Summer Junior Nationals.

High School:

Jason graduated from St. Joseph High School in Santa Maria, Calif., where he was a four year letter winner in swimming for the Knights. In 2005, Dupere finished fifth in the 500 freestyle in the CIF competition.

Personal:

Jason is the son of Donald and Diana Dupere and has one sibling, Jolie (17). Jason is majoring in environmental science in his second year at Pacific, and hopes to become a firefighter.
