2007-08 (Junior):

Last season Kasten gave Pacific some depth in two strokes, swimming in butterfly and freestyle events. He made his debut with the Tigers during the Feb. 2 meet against UC Santa Barbara, competing in the 50 Free (22.36), 100 Free (49.23) and the 100 Fly (53.94).

Previous School (Chabot College):

Mike set a school record in the 100 Fly in 2007, and was a two-time nominee to the Junior College All-American team.

High School:

Mike graduated from Granada HS in Livermore, Calif. where he was a four year letter winner in swimming.

Personal:

Michael Kasten is the son of William and Anli Mu Kasten and has two siblings, a brother Andrei and a sister Lisa. In his second year at Pacific Mike is studying in international business.
