At Pacific Brian was used in the long distance Free events in 2003-04. He was tops on the team in the 1650 Free (15:52.18), while placing second in the 1000 Free (9:35.44), both times came at the Big West Conference Championships. Lamar also recorded career best times in the 200 Free (1:50.31) and 500 Free (1:50.31). During the 2002-03 season, Lamar picked up best times of 9:31.79 in 1000 Free and 15:49.89 in 1650 Free at the Big West Championships to help the Tigers win the title. In 2001-02, his first season at Pacific, Brian set personal best times in the 1000 Free and 1650 Free with times of 9:47.31 and 16:51.72. His time in the 1000 Free is seventh in the Tiger record book. Brian also contributes in the 100 and 200 Fly. High School Brian attended La Serna High School in Whittier. As member of the Lancers, Lamar claimed four letters in swimming and was a CIF finalist in the 200 and 500 Free during his senior season. Personal Brian Lamar was born on June 1, 1983, in Whittier, Calif., and is the son of Claud and Marcella Lamar. Brian is an English major in his fourth year at Pacific. |
