2005-06: McLaughlin competed in three events at the Big West Championships Placing fifth in the 100 Fly (50.05), fifth in the 200 Fly (1:51.16), and thirteenth in the 50 Free (21.44). His time in the 100 Fly was the fastest for the team on the season. Clint also swam his fastest time in the 100 Free (48.51) in a home meet against UC Santa Barbara. 2004-05: Clint competed in the 100 Fly and 200 Fly at the Big West Championships, recording times of 50.55 and 1:53.41, respectively. Clint also competed in the sprint Free events during the season, posting season bests in the 50 Free (22.29), 100 Free (48.61) and 200 Free (1:47.92) at the UNLV Invite. 2003-04: Clint excelled in the pool. He registered career best times in the 100 Fly (51.19), 200 Fly (1:56.06), and 200 Free (1:44.48) at the Big West Championships in helping Pacific finish second. He also swam a personal best in the 100 Free (50.61) against CSUB on Jan. 10. High School: McLaughlin attended Valhalla High School in El Cajon, Calif. While at Valhalla, Clint played for the Norsemen's water polo team and was part of the swim team. The Norsemen are in the Grossmont South Conference. Personal: Clinton James McLaughlin was born in San Diego, Calif., and is the son of Andy and Laura McLaughlin. Clint is a business major in his fourth year at Pacific. |
