At Pacific During the 2003-04 season, Ivan's third with Pacific, he recorded season best times in nine events. Serrano was part of the 200 Medley Relay team that set a school record at the Big West Championships with a time of 1:30.89. He also recorded a career best time in the 100 Back (51:53, tops on team) at the meet. In 2002-03, his second season at Pacific, Serrano took on a larger role in helping the Tigers repeat as Big West Champions. He recorded top times at the Big West Championships in the 100 Back (51.55), 200 Back (1:53.53), and the 400 IM with a time of 4:14.19. In 2001-02, his first season at Pacific, Ivan had a personal best in the 200 Back with a time of 1:59.04. Ivan also helped Pacific score in the 100 Breast, 50 and 100 Free, and the 200 IM. High School Ivan attended Monrovia High School in Monrovia, Calif. As a Wildcat, Ivan set five individual records. Serrano was also honored as team MVP in his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Personal Ivan Serrano was born on July 13, 1983, in Duarte, Calif., and is the son of Prax and Martha Serrano. Ivan is a business major in his fourth year at Pacific. |
