2005-06: Kenny placed third in the 400 IM (4:00.06) and took home a pair of sixth place finishes in the 100 Back (50.75) and the 200 Back (1:49.43) at the Big West Championships. He also swam his best time in the 200 IM (1:54.80) at the Husky Meet. Yamamoto's times for the 400 IM, 100 Back, and the 200 Back were the second fastest times for the team on the season.

2004-05: Yamamoto finished second in the 400 IM at the Big West Championships (3:57.34), while also recording the third fastest time on the team in both the 100 Back (50.67) and the 200 Back (1:47.27)

2003-04: Kenny provided valuable depth in the back and IM events. He registered the first and second fastest times on the team in the 200 IM (1:53.75) and 200 Back (1:50.36) at the Big West Championships. He is also part of the men's water polo team.

High School: Kenny went to San Clemente High School in San Clemente, Calif., where he was a four-year letterwinner in swimming and a three-year letterwinner in water polo. Kenny holds school records in the 100 Back (51.83), 200 Back (1:52.00), and 200 IM (1:52.00). Yamamoto was a Triton of the Year nominee and Athlete of the Year nominee.

Personal: Kenny Yamamoto was born in San Clemente, Calif., and is the son of Ryuichi and Noriyo Yamamoto. He is majoring in psychology in his fourth year at Pacific.
