March 26, 2005
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.- Pacific Tigers freshman Krzysztof Zoldak (Oswiecim, Poland) finished up his first trip to the men's NCAA Swimming Championships with a 34th place finish in the prelims of the 200 Fly on Saturday, Mar. 26. Zoldak, the Big West Male Swimmer of the Year, swam to a time of 1:49.21 in the 200 Fly. That time was just two seconds off his school record time of 1:47.14 he set at the UNLV Invite back on Dec. 18-20 of last year. He also swam in the 200 IM and 400 IM on Thursday and Friday, earning 24th and 22nd places in each event during the perlims. The freshman will return next year as he looks to help the Pacific Tigers' men's swimming team repeat as Big West Champs.
