Long Beach, Calif. - Senior Wojciech Betlej (Mielec, Poland) and junior Maxwell Maris (Highlands Ranch, Colo. led the Pacific men's swim team to a fourth place finish as the Nike Cup concluded on Saturday, Nov. 17.

Maris finished the 1650 Free in 15:51.67, just over 14 seconds behind the event winner in the first event of the evening

Betlej nabbed the best finish of the day for Pacific with a second place in the 200 Back. Betlej's time, 1:47.91, was exactly four seconds behind the event winner.

The Tigers' men's team returns to the pool on Jan. 19 in a double-dual meet against Cal Poly and UC Davis. The meet is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. in Davis, Calif.
