Fall 2008 (Senior):
Starke kicked off his senior year in winning fashion, recording the highest individual winning percentage of anyone on his team. In the two tournament, he went 4-2 in singles play to compliment a 3-2 doubles record partnered with freshmen Christian Kuehne and Brian Kim. Moritz secured most of his individual wins at the Fresno State Bulldog Classic to open the tournament season starting off the first day of play 2-0 in the winner's bracket. His one lone loss in that tournament came in the quarterfinals when Thai Tu of California sent Moritz home 6-3, 6-1.
Spring 2008 (Junior):
Moritz rebounded from his fall injury and came in to exude leadership as one of the more experienced players on the team, posting the third-best record in the spring after finishing 13-7 in singles play. He rightfully claimed the No. 1 position with 11 match victories from that spot, eight more than the other first-position player. At the conclusion of the season Starke earned a first team singles nod in the Big West Conference. Moritz was also very successful in doubles play, posting his best record with Renan Delsin (4-1), and went 4-4 with David Gonzalez, 2-3 next to Artem Gramma and finished 1-0 partnered with Austin Kakar.
Fall 2007 (Junior):
Starke started his 2007 tournament season with a singles record of 2-1 and a record of 2-1 in doubles action with Artem Gramma. After just two weeks of competition, however, Moritz was forced to retire for the remainder of the fall with an injury.
Spring 2007 (Sophomore):
In 2007, Starke finished the spring season with a record of 12-6 playing at the No. 1 position throughout the year. He also posted an overall record of 7-9 in doubles action, playing with four different partners throughout the spring season. At the Big West Championships, Moritz defeated UC Riverside's Mark Contreras 6-0, 6-3, and after the season Starke was named an All-Big West First Team selection. He also received the Big West's Player of the Year award for his accomplishments throughout the season.
Fall 2006 (Sophomore):
Moritz finished his first tournament season at Pacific with a 3-3 singles record and a doubles record of 2-1 with Vladimir Zdravkovic.
Spring 2006 (Freshman):
In his first semester with the Tigers, Moritz delivered an impressive 10-3 record in singles play at the No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 positions. Starke saw the majority of his action at the No. 5 position, posting a 5-1 mark. Moritz recorded nine straight-set victories in his freshman season, including a 6-1, 6-1 win over Garrison Pilant, the No. 5 player for Memphis. As a doubles partner, Starke teamed with Alan Kelly for an 8-9 record, including a 1-1 mark at the No. 2 position.
High School:
Moritz Starke graduated from Forsyth Country Day School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 2005. As a senior, Starke led the Horse to a 13-0 record and the North Carolina State Championship. In singles play at Forsyth Country Day, Starke was a combined 23-9 over two seasons.

Moritz Starke was born in Bamberg, Germany. He is the son of Andreas and Barbara Starke and has one sister, Meike (18). In his fourth year at Pacific, Moritz in majoring in business.
