2008 (RS Junior)
Forbes played in 15 matches for the Tigers, earning one start. He finished the year with 37 kills, and finished the year second on the team in blocks with a .83 block per game average.
2007 (RS Sophomore)
Joe appeared in 34 games for the Tigers in 2007, playing in 18 matches and starting four of those matches. For the season, Joe tallied 39 kills on 87 attempts. On Mar. 4, Forbes collected a season-high eight kills on just 16 attempts versus Quincy University in the Alex G. Spanos Center. Joe posted a stellar .438 hitting percentage in the match to lead the Tigers to a 3-1 victory.
2006 (RS Freshman)
Joe played in 71 games for the Tigers in 2006, playing in 26 matches while earning 18 starts. Forbes was second on the team in blocks, averaging 1.01 per game. He also recorded 103 kills on 210 attacks, obtaining a career high 12 kills against UCLA on February 17th.

Forbes redshirted during his first season as a member of the Pacific Tigers.
High School
Joe graduated from Staples High School in Westport, Conn. During his time as a Wrecker, Joe was a three-time letterwinner in both basketball and volleyball. A first team All-Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference in both 2003 and 2004, Forbes helped lead Staples to the conference championship in both seasons. Over his career, Joe knocked down 516 kills while putting up 462 blocks. Off the court, he was named a scholar athlete.
Personal
Joe is the son of James and Judy Forbes. He has two older sisters, Jaime and Jen. In his fifth year at Pacific, Joe is majoring in computer science.
