2006 (Junior)
During his junior campaign, Dan played in 26 games for the Tigers, seeing action in 17 matches making four starts. Hammer recorded 19 blocks and 17 kills, recording a season high four kills against UC Irvine on February 18th.

2005 (Sophomore)
Hammer saw action in 21 games during the 2005 season, collecting 20 kills on 37 attacks for a .351 attack percentage while accumulating 18 blocks for the Tigers.

2004 (Freshman)
Dan joined the Tigers at the beginning of the spring semester, transferring from UC Santa Barbara. During his freshman season, Hammer played in 21 games for Pacific, finishing the season with 14 kills, four service aces and 15 blocks. His 0.71 blocks/set average was second best on the team. Dan's best match of the season came against Cal State Northridge on April 3 as he posted five blocks including two solo blocks.

High School
Dan graduated in 2003 from Nicolet High School in Glendale, Wis. He earned three varsity letters in both basketball and volleyball. Hammer helped the Knights to the No. 2 ranking in the state and a 16-0 record during the 2002-03 season. For his play, Dan was named a two time All-American along with being named to the All-State First Team, All-Area and All-Greater Metro Conference. He was also a finalist for the Wendy's High School Heisman in the state of Wisconsin and was invited to the USA National Team's developmental camp. Off the court, Dan was Class President in each of his four years.

Personal
Dan is the son of the late Eric Hammer and Kit Hammer. He has two older brothers, Ed (30) and Joe (27). In his senior year at Pacific, he is majoring in biology.
