2004 (Freshman):
In his first season with the Tigers, Mitch made his mark on the Pacific program, jumping into the record books as he finished the season in fifth all-time for career assists with 830. He averaged 9.88 assists/game in 84 games of work. In the Tigers' three game sweep of No. 5 USC on April 9, Mitch had a team season best 55 assists. In addition, the Tigers hit .430 as a team during the match. Hazelett finished the season with 27 kills, 83 digs, 12 service aces and 29 total blocks.
High School:
Mitch graduated in 2003 from Bishop Luers High School in Fort Wayne, Ind. A four sport athlete, Hazelett received multiple letters in tennis, track, basketball and volleyball. He was named the captain of both his basketball and volleyball team helping lead the volleyball team to the Indiana State finals in 2003. He was named the Most Improved Player during his junior track season and MVP of the Track team for field events during his senior season. Mitch was the MVP of the volleyball team in all four of his seasons and was a Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 selection in his final season for the Knights.
Personal:
Mitch is the son of Kirk and Donna Hazelett. In his second year at Pacific, he is majoring in sport sciences.
