LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The No. 11 Pacific men's volleyball team fell to 9-8 overall and 3-6 in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation action with a four-set loss at top-ranked UCLA (14-1, 10-1 MPSF) on Saturday, Feb. 19, at Pauley Pavilion. Set scores were 30-22, 30-22, 27-30, and 30-16.

UCLA jumped out to an early two-set lead in the match with consecutive 30-22 wins. Pacific was limited to a .036 (19-17-55) team hitting percentage over the first two sets.

In set three, the Tigers rebounded with a 30-27 victory behind 17 kills with just four errors in 30 attempts (.433).

UCLA then closed the match with a 30-16 set four win as the Bruins recorded 15 kills with two errors in 23 attacks (.565).

Senior Brian Zodrow (Kaneohe, Hawaii) led all attackers with 21 kills on the evening for Pacific. Senior Mauricio Brizuela (Asuncion, Paraguay) had a double-double for the Tigers with 11 kills and 10 digs.

Steve Klsoterman led UCLA with 17 kills.

Pacific is next in action with a conference match against UC San Diego on Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 7 p.m. at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
