2005 (Junior): Mitchell was a valued sprint specialist starter for the Tigers, as he won 52 of them on the season. He also added three goals, 15 steals and six assists on the season. 2004 (Sophomore): Mike appeared in eight games off the bench, scoring one goal. 2003 (Freshman): Mike was one of nine freshmen to suit up and was able to provide key relief off the bench. High School: Mike attended Scripps Ranch High School, where he was on the swimming and water polo teams. Mike earned MVP honors in swimming and gained varsity letters for both swimming and water polo. He accumulated a 4.0 grade point average all four years in high school. Personal: Michael Mitchell was born in Cleveland, Ohio and is the son of Bill and Kathy Mitchell. Mike has a twin brother Matt, who is also on the water polo team, an older brother, Bill, and sister, Melissa, who were swimmers at Miami University and the University of Texas, respectively. Mike is majoring in pharmacy. |
