Woodland, Calif. - The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) announced Nov. 28 that seniors Dragan Bakic (Split, Croatia) and Duje Kaurloto (Split, Croatia) have received All-MPSF honors for their performances throughout the 2007 season. Bakic was named to the All-MPSF second team, while Kaurloto received honorable mention honors. In 2006, both were named to the All-MPSF third team.
This marks the fourth time in Bakic's career that he received All-MPSF honors while at Pacific. In 2007, Bakic led the team with 85 through the season, which also landed him in fifth place among the nations' scoring leaders. Throughout his career Bakic tallied a total of 245 goals, which ranks him third on Pacific's all-time scoring list. This year he also recorded 48 assists, 49 steals, and he drew 62 personal fouls. He has received All-American honors in each of his previous three seasons.
Last season in addition to being named to the All-MPSF third team, he also received tri-newcomer of the year honors. This season he recorded 84 goals and finished the season scoring the seventh most goals in the country on the year. He also recorded a team high 61 steals on the season, recorded 40 assists, and drew 20 personal fouls throughout the 2007 season. After competing as a Tiger for only two years after transferring to Pacific from West Valley College, Duje has recorded 158 goals ranking him in sixth place on Pacific's all-time scoring list.
