2003-04 (Junior): Hillman came off the bench in 19 of Pacific's 29 games in 2003-04, averaging 1.9 ppg. Marquitta came into her own as the season wound down for Pacific, scoring a career-high nine points in the Tigers final regular season contest, a 72-68 road victory over UC Riverside on Mar. 6th. Over the final four games of the season, Hillman averaged 4.8 ppg. Junior College: Hillman joins the Tigers after two seasons at Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa, Ala. With the Buccaneers, Marquitta was named Alabama Junior and Community College Conference (AJCCC) sixth man of the year in 2001-02 as she led Shelton State CC to the Alabama state championship. Hillman was named to the AJCCC All-State Tournament team in 2001-02 and to the AJCCC All-Region team. In her two seasons at Shelton State CC, the Buccaneers posted a combined record of 51-14, including an undefeated home mark. High School: Hillman graduated from Russellville High School in Russellville, Alabama, in 2001. As a Golden Tiger, Hillman averaged 21 points, six rebounds and three assists in her senior season and was named to the all-area team. Personal: Marquitta Hillman was born on September 12, 1983. She is the daughter of Sandra Hillman. Marquitta has two older siblings, Dewayne and Dwight. In her second year at Pacific, Marquitta is majoring in physical therapy.
