2005-06 (Junior):
Competing in her first season in the Orange and Black, Wyvonne saw action in 27 games with 11 starts. She made her collegiate debut against Texas Southern on Nov. 18, where she was a rebound away from a double-double, finishing with 15 points and nine rebounds. She finished the year with 105 rebounds, the third highest total on the team while leading the team in rebounds in two games during the season from her guard position. Jones had one of her finest games in her short Pacific career, pushing the Tigers past Cal Poly on Jan. 26 with 11 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Overall, Wyvonne averaged 4.3 points and 3.9 rebounds per game while dishing out 2.6 assists per game.
Junior College:
Before coming to Pacific, Jones spent two seasons with the Lady Saints of Seward County College in Liberal, Kan. The Lady Saints posted a 3-1 record at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Tournament, finishing in fifth place among the nation's best junior college teams. In two seasons at Seward, Jones, with fellow Tigers teammate Jerise Freeman, helped lead the Lady Saints to a combined 67-8 record, including a 35 win season in 2004-05 that ranks as the second most successful season in school history. Wyvonne finished her final season at Seward averaging 5.7 PPG and 3.2 RPG. Her 51% field goal shooting ranked as the fourth highest mark on the team.
High School:
Wyvonne was a 2003 graduate of Wichita Heights High School in Wichita, Kan., where she was a part of back-to-back Kansas state championship teams while earning four varsity letters. During her four seasons, Jones alongside of Freeman, led the Falcons to an 83-14 overall record that included an impressive 8-1 record in state playoff games. Over her last two seasons in high school, Jones was named the Defensive Player of the Year while earning First Team All-City League honors after her senior season. In addition to all-league honors, Wyvonne was named an All-Class 6A honorable mention in 2003.
Personal:
Born in Wichita, Kan., Wyvonne Jones is the daughter of Marvin Jones and Joy McGruder. In her second year at Pacific, Wyvonne is pursuing a degree in computer information systems.
