2004-05 (Junior):

Julie appeared in all 27 games for Pacific last season, including three starts. She finished the season, second on the team with 44 assists. Julie tied a career-high with six assists in Pacific's 74-61 loss to UC Santa Barbara on Jan. 22. Melcher posted a career-high six assists and two blocks in the Tigers' 67-48 loss to Utah State on Jan. 13. Julie scored a career-high five points in the Tigers' 54-42 win over UC Irvine on Jan. 8. Melcher had four points, four assists and two rebounds in Pacific's 68-60 loss to Long Beach State on Jan. 6

Junior College:

Julie came to Pacific from Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Ore. In two seasons with the Storm, Melcher has led Chemeketa to a combined 50-12 record, including a 2002-03 NorthWest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) Championship. The point guard for the Storm from 2002-2004, Melcher has averaged 12.1 ppg, 6.6 apg, 4.5 rpg and 3.5 steals per game. Julie was named to the 2002-03 All-NWAACC First Team and was the Storm's MVP last season. She also earned a spot on the NWAACC All-Tournament Team during the 2003-04 season.

High School:

Melcher graduated from North Marion High School in Aurora, Oregon in 2002. As a member of the Huskies, Julie led her squad to a 24-5 record as a senior. Following her final season at North Marion HS, Melcher was named the Co-MVP of the Capital Conference and to the Oregon All-State First Team as she finished the season averaging 17.2 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 5.7 apg and 3.5 spg. Melcher was selected to three consecutive All-Capital Conference First Team in her final three seasons at North Marion HS. In the classroom, Melcher was a member of the National Honors Society and the Business Leaders of America.

Personal:

Julie Melcher is the daughter of Dennis and Sylvia Melcher. She has two siblings, Jennifer (26) and Jamie (12). In her second year at Pacific, Julie is planning to major in Business Administration.
