2008-09 (Redshirt Freshman):
Playing her first full season after returning from a season-ending injury, Swanson saw action in 19 games for the Tigers while earning one start. Andrea averaged 1.6 points and 1.1 rebounds in 7.1 minutes per game as Pacific's veteran depth in the front court limited Andrea's time on the court. Throughout the year, Swanson provided solid performances during her time on the court with her best coming in her lone start of the season when she scored nine points and grabbed six rebounds against Long Beach State on January 8. During the contest, Swanson also added a pair of steals defensively for the Tigers. Academically, Andrea continued to impress in her second year at Pacific, earning Academic All-Big West honors in her first year of eligibility.
2007-08 (Freshman):
After suffering an injury nine games into her first season, Andrea missed the rest of the 2007-08 season. Due to the injury, Swanson was granted a medical redshirt for the year. However, prior to the injury, Swanson was on her way to an excellent inaugural season, averaging 10.7 points and 3.8 rebounds in just under 24 minutes per game. In six of her nine games, Swanson went for double-figures, culminating in a career effort against San Jose State on November 20, when she scored 19 points. Additionally, Andrea posted one double-double in her shortened season, netting 16 points and grabbing a career-best 11 rebounds against Cal State Stanislaus in just her second collegiate contest.
High School:
Andrea came to Pacific after four years at Heritage High School in Littleton, Colo., where she graduated in 2007. While an Eagle, Swanson led her team to the 5A Colorado State Elite 8 in 2006 and the Sweet 16 in 2005. During her junior season, Andrea averaged 13.2 points and 9.1 rebounds, leading to her selection to the All-Continental League Second Team. As a senior, Andrea posted 15.5 points and 8.6 rebounds en route to first team all-league honors and all-state honors. Off the court, Andrea was named to the High Honor Roll and an Outstanding Senior for her school.
