2007 (Sophomore):
McDonough appeared in all 18 games for the Tigers in 2007, including 17 starts. Katy continued to improve on the offensive end, posting eight goals and two assists. Her eight goals and 19 points ranked third on the team in both categories. Following the season, McDonough earned her second consecutive All-NorPac Conference Second Team honors. Katy scored two goals in two separate games this season, notching two goals in the Tigers' 4-2 loss to Stanford on Sept. 2. McDonough also grabbed two goals in the Tigers' 5-2 win over Appalachian State on Nov. 2.
2006 (Freshman):
Katy played in all 19 games and started 15 of the games in her first season at Pacific. A three-time NorPac Conference Rookie of the Week last season, McDonough finished third on the team in points scored, with a total of 11 on four goals and three assists. McDonough capped her freshman season by being named to the All-NorPac Second Team. McDonough's first NorPac Rookie of the Week honor came on Sept. 5 after Katy had notched two assists and her first collegiate goal over three contests. McDonough delivered an assist in the Tigers' 5-2 win over Massachusetts on Aug. 29, nabbed her second assist in Pacific's 1-0 win against New Hampshire on Sept. 2 and finally scored her first goal of the season in the Tigers' 5-1 loss to No. 2 Wake Forest on Sept. 3. McDonough nabbed her second Rookie of the Week honor the following week, notching two goals against Ball State in Pacific's 5-3 win on Sept. 7, then posting an assist in Pacific's 4-0 win over Saint Louis on Sept. 8.
High School:
Katy attended Ventura High School, where she led her team to back-to-back league championships. She was a team captain, and in 2005 she was awarded second team All Channel League honors.
Personal:
Katherine McDonough is the daughter of Robert and Elly McDonough. She has three siblings, Mary (30), Robert (32), and James (23). In her second season at Pacific, Katy is a pharmacy major.
