2007 (Sophomore):
Lisa's defensive presence got better in her second season with the Tigers, notching four defensive saves to lead Pacific. Muhl's first defensive save of the season kept the Tigers in a close battle with Indiana on Aug. 25. Pacific eventually lost the game 2-1. During the season, Lisa appeared in 18 games, including 17 starts.
2006 (Freshman):
In her rookie season, Lisa played and started 17 of Pacific's 19 games. Muhl recorded her first career assist in the Tigers' 4-3 overtime win against No. 6 American University on Aug. 27. One day earlier Muhl nabbed her first career defensive save in Pacific's 6-0 loss to No. 1 Maryland. Lisa's efforts against American and Maryland earned her the NorPac Rookie Player of the Week on Aug. 28. During the final week of the season, Muhl picked up her second NorPac Rookie of the Week honor as Muhl helped hold the powerful California offense to just three goals in a 3-2 loss on Oct. 28.
High School:
Lisa attended Souderton Area High School in Souderton, Pennsylvania, where she played soccer and field hockey. In 2005, as the team's most valuable defensive player, she led the Indians to a district-one championship and to the PIAA state quarterfinals. As a senior, Lisa scored one goal and recorded four assists. She was also a four-year varsity letter winner in lacrosse and in soccer.
Personal:
Lisa Muhl is the daughter of Thomas and Connie Muhl. She has three siblings, Jess (24), TJ (23) and Katie (17). In her second year at Pacific, Lisa is majoring in business.
Coach MacDonald on Muhl:
"Lisa is one of the toughest defenders I've ever coached. She is great at positioning, timing and has a great penalty stroke. She could be one of our stokers this year."
