2007 (Junior):
Nestle saw action in each of the Tigers' 18 games this season, including 17 starts. Erica delivered a career-high in points as a junior with seven points on two goals and career-high three assists. She also notched her first career defensive save. Erica's best performance of the season came in the Tigers' 6-1 win over Davidson on Oct. 5 as she netted an assist and a defensive save. Although that was her best single game, Nestle also delivered an impressive showing at the NorPac Tournament for the Tigers, earning a spot on the 2007 NorPac All-Tournament Team. During Pacific's three games, Erica distinguished herself as force in the middle and notched a goal in the Tigers' 3-2 win over Longwood in the fifth place game.
2006 (Sophomore):
Erica continued to develop into a complete player for the Tigers in the midfield during her sophomore season, appearing in 18 games and earning 11 starts. Nestle closed the 2006 season with two goals and nine shots. Her best game was against Massachusetts on Aug. 29, when she scored twice in the Tigers' 5-2 victory.
2005 (Freshman):
In Nestle's first season with Pacific she contributed in a variety of capacities and played in all but two games for the Tigers. On the year, Erica scored three points with one goal and one assist. Her goal was scored 12:32 into her third career game as a Tiger in a 4-0 win over Syracuse on Sept. 2. That week she was named the NorPac Field Hockey Rookie of the Week.
High School:
Nestle attended Leigh High School, earning seven letters in field hockey (three) and soccer (four). She was Second Team All-League, First Team All-CCS and team Most Valuable Player her senior season. As a junior Erica was named Junior of the Year in the Blossom Valley Athletic League and Second Team All-CCS. Nestle was also voted to the All-BVAL First Team her sophomore season.
Personal:
Erica is the daughter of Steve and Kathy Pearson-Nestle. She has two brothers, Ryan (21) and Matthew (13). In her third year at Pacific, Erica is majoring in sociology and criminology.
MacDonald on Nestle:
