
Three Tigers Earn 2004 NFHCA Division I National Academic Honors
March 8, 2005 STOCKTON, Calif.- The 2004 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I National Academic Squad was announced today and three Pacific Tigers field hockey player were named to the squad. Junior Michelle Manson (Encinitas, Calif.), and sophomores Megan Haas (Hummelstown, Penn.) and Brianne Martinez (Chula Vista, Calif.) were recognized for the Tigers. Manson played in all 21 games for the Tigers, picking up two assists on the season. Haas also played in all 21 games and fired in two goals, while assisting on three others. Martinez earned one goal and an assist in her 18 games of play. All three helped the 2004 Tigers break just about every program record including most wins in a season (11), most consecutive victories (7), most goals (36) and most points in a season (93). Pacific also established a new bench mark in Tigers tradition as at 11-10 this season and 9-7 in 2003, Pacific has two consecutive winning seasons for the first time in program history.
